Brunch @ PizzaExpress

D had a dragon boat race back in June at the Stanley Main beach, and we thought it was time to revisit the lovely Stanley again. C has decided that we would eat nothing but pizza!

Remember how our family liked to go to Pizza Hut for pizza when we were kids? There are more and more pizza places opening in recent years. PizzaExpress is one of them. We have always thought that PizzaExpress was quite overpriced and not worth the value for food. But seeing that they are now offering a pizza called Peking Duck in its menu which has made C quite interested.

We arrived at the restaurant at 3:30 pm, and we were seated comfortably by the window on the 2/F which had a beautiful sea view.

(1) Although C never liked this kind of fusion food, the Peking Duck pizza ($140) definitely changed his mind. The sweet and salty hoisin sauce was well balanced. The spice added to the tender roast duck meat made for a vibrant and flavour-packed dish. Even though D was not a big fan of pizza, we savoured every bite of this unconventional dish!

(2) The refillable Iced Lemon Tea ($35) was quite disappointing. It tasted like syrup mixed with water.

Overall remarks: PizzaExpress in Stanley has a nice scenery and a lovely view with an affordable but wonderful and yummy dish. We will for sure come back for another relaxing afternoon.
